Science now believes the egg came first. There again whose egg came first? Fish and reptile they say, which evolved into a chicken. None sense. So, who came first, fish or egg? I will tell you, the seer did, and this is the only reality of any observation; we wish scientists would wake up to this. Nothing can be observed without it first being in the mind. See Mentalism of Paul Brunton. In fact, the seer is not even the first. Is the I-thought the first? As far as objects are concerned, yes. But even him is unreal. Nasadiya Sukta, Mandal 10, Rig Veda, what came first? Nothing does in reality. There is neither chicken nor egg without the Self. The I-thought, the Seer, and Karma simultaneously stirred you out of deep sleep. The screen or Consciousness provides the basis of the play of I-thought, seer and karma, all being the mind itself, but the Self being untouched by the endless series. He is the first, middle and the last, and the only reality. So, the Seer or Karma or the I-thought, chicken or egg, all of these arise simultaneously and subside simultaneously. Neither of them are real, for Existence-Consciousness, the Self, is the only reality. Because you exist, all this comes into existence. Basta. Scientists, astrophysicists and archaeologists are merely glorified grave diggers. Let us face it, they don’t even know who they are in essence or in reality, never mind knowing anything else. They just don’t face this fundamental fact. Do we?
