THE BLISS OF SAT-CHIT-ANANDA

THE ANANDA OF SAT-CHIT-ANANDA

What is Ananda? What is Bliss? What is Happiness? I will now reveal to the audience the only and the truest aspect of Brahman, the Absolute. In the writer’s heartfelt opinion, the deepest and most profound aspect of Brahman, the Absolute Consciousness or Pure Consciousness, is Eternal Divine Love. There is nothing besides this and it is That! This is Sahaja-Sthiti, the Natural- State or the whole or the Self. Verily, this is who you are, and this is Life-Consciousness, which, I repeat, is Eternal Divine Love—That which we call Happiness or Bliss or Ananda is ETERNAL DIVINE LOVE. That which we call Turiya or Turiyatita or Tripura Sundari or the Transcendental Mother Goddess is nothing else but Eternal Divine Love. Eternal Divine Love is the screen on which the whole moves, abides and rests (Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva—Creation, Maintenance, Dissolution), yet remains unchanged, still, silent, but importantly, tangible! Sit in meditation all you want, be in Nirvikalpa Samadhi all you want, do as much Yoga as you like, be absorbed in Samadhi all you want, but without knowing and realizing that tangible aspect of Brahman, Eternal Divine Love, all around you, you are embracing the repeated cycles of birth and death (dukkha). Therefore, abiding in the Self, as Ramana Maharshi put it, is abiding in the Eternal Divine Love, in the Lotus of the Heart. Ramana Maharshi is the epitome or the epicentre of Eternal Divine Love. This is the Self!

If Eternal Divine Love is not the Natural State, not the epicentre, not the Heart (Hridayam), then O Lord of Death, O Arunachal Shiva, condemn me forever in darkness and hell of Naraka! Who Am I but this only and nothing else besides this. “Know That I Am God,” therefore, know and realize that I AM ETERNAL DIVINE LOVE. You will not find it here either, in these dry, parched and heaped sand dunes of words. You will have to turn to the Heart and feel It there, in deep silence, and all around the socked spiritual waters of Beingness.

The writer arrived at Sri Ramanashramam on an auspicious Thursday (Guru-Day) morning of the 11th Day of February 2026. A few days later, as the writer sat on the step/porch facing the entrance path, Krupan, the black dog, came and sat next to him. The writer looked deeply in his eyes and saw the grace of Divine love emanating from those solemn and gracious eyes. The writer offered Krupan a biscuit and he took of the prasad gently. He sat down next to the writer and the writer stroked his head with all the love and gentleness he could muster. Both sat there silently absorbed in the Eternal Divine Love, communicating heart to heart nothing but serene Love. The Sun was enchanting and gently warming our beingness. After a while, he got up and rested his head on the writer’s lap, a farewell, as he leaped into life and disappeared to expend his prarabdha karma. When the writer daily visited the Samadhi shrines of the animal-jivas, Cow Laxmi, Crow, Jacky Dog, and Deer Valli, he was deeply moved by the love, grace and companionship of these solemn jivas who had the great fortune to reside next to Sri Bhagavan. It struck the writer insightfully that the “Blessed Crow” is the great ever-living Jnani Kaka Bhusunda (a manifestation or an emissary of Bhusunda) of Yoga-Vasishtha of Valmiki Vol 111, Ch.15, Pg.54. Who else would descend at the feet of the great Jnani and Divine Eternal Love Sri Bhagavan? The trees that witness the play, and furthermore, shelter Sri Bhagavan and a fool, the Sun that shines equally on all—is this not Divine Love? If not, tell me what is? Ramanashramam is drenched in the spiritual waters of Eternal Divine Love, the mist of Love that Sri Bhagavan emanates diffuses in Tiruvannamalai and the World at large. How can this mist not quench one’s thirst? So, getting back to the theme, what is ANANDA of SAT-CHIT-ANANDA? It is LOVE. How does the writer know and realize this? He was at the Source. He felt It, deep in the Lotus of his Heart, where the Self abides, and who emanates nothing else then Eternal Divine Love. So, what is the Bliss of Life-Consciousness-Bliss? It is Brahman, the Absolute. Love is Bliss. Sat I know, Chit I know, but now I know Love. Therefore, the TANGIBLE aspects of Brahman are knowable and realizable as Life-Consciousness-Eternal Divine Love. What is that unspoken or unspeakable word or silence? Love! The writer saw, knew and realized in the vicinity of Krupan the dog, the tress, the sand, the rocks, the bricks, the peacocks, the monkeys, the squirrels, the plants, the flowers, the air, the water, the earth, the sun, etc., the authentic meaning of the Gayatri Mantra: Om, Bhur, Bhuvah, Svah, Tat Savitur Varenyam, Bhargo Devasya Dhimahi, Dhiyo Yo Nah Prachodayat. Strangely, when the writer arrived in India at a different location in Gujarat, he noticed in the foyer of the Hotel a Gayatri Temple and Mantra. Unreservedly, the writer paid his utmost praise and tribute to Holy Mother Goddess. The writer has many a moments shed heartfelt tears listening to the Gayatri Mantram. It was so on the fated Thursday Morning of the 11th February in the old meditation hall where resides the shrine of Eternal Divine Love, for the outpouring of tears did not stop for over half-an-hour. The writer was gripped and hard fast held in the Jaws of the Divine Self, Sri Bhagavan. Was the transcendental Mother Goddess Gayatri, whom the writer daily worshipped whilst in Spain, preparing the writer for the eventuality in Tiruvannamalai? Hail, Hail, Hail that Divine Eternal Love. This eventuality or culmination, the writer calls the true Gayatri Mantram, is verily Ramanashramam. One will know and realize deeply the Gayatri Mantram at the feet of Divine Eternal Love, Sri Bhagavan Maharshi Ramana, in the solemn silent presence of Sri Bhagavan, the Self, the SAVITUR. The presence of Ramana Maharshi will burst open the Lotus of one’s Heart in full bloom. One will not know and realize nor find the Eternal Divine Love in the dry and parched polemics of the Vedanta nor in the writer’s writings; for the Vedanta halts at the altar’s door for one to discover That Which Is within one’s own Self! Knock, Knock at Heavens Door! Love is all around us!
