And so, the unconscious couple go into the state of unconsciousness—unconscious love goes into unconsciousness. Makes the writer chuckle. Where is “I”? If the “I” does not arise, if the sense of the body does not arise, then can “you” and the world arise? No. If they were real, they must also be present in deep sleep. We are without any sense, without the mind, without the body, so then can love for another arise? Can unconscious love survive deep sleep? No. Yet, we wake up, having slept well, and declare ‘I slept well.’ We are happiest in deep sleep, and we know this, because that which is continuous in deep sleep, that which is real, remains eternally intact and blissful, even in deep sleep, coma, and anaesthesia. Therefore, the mind, the body, I, you, the world, and unconscious love are non-self and false. Kapish. And so, if we remain blissful in deep sleep without the body, without the mind, without the emotional bondage, without lust for another, without another to make us happy, then, unconscious love cannot be the thing that fulfils us. Where is the harmony in unconscious love? Where is peace? Where is blissful co-existence?
True Love | Conscious Love | Awakened Soul
Individually, we have the right to be happy. No one ought to interfere in this. See this clearly. Your reaction of annoyance or anger is obvious if someone awakes you in the midst of deep sleep. They, interrupted your happiness. So, perhaps, one should not interfere when someone is happy enjoying in all the states of being. We have from the very start noted that an awakened soul’ conscious love is different from normal love. The conscious being is all love. What does this mean? It means He is awake to the Self—the substance that remains unblemished eternally. That substance is eternal divine Love. Real Love. The Self is Love per se. And therefore, the awakened do not seek fulfilment outside the Self. He is full. He is Fulfilled. He is free. His glass is full. His mind holds nothing. Nothing can be added nor subtracted from such a being. Imagine such a person to exist. When the mind holds nothing, grasps nothing, how can thoughts arise—I need, I want. He is capable of loving, intimacy and pleasure and pain. For he is loving, compassionate and magnanimous. One cannot hold and grasp such a one as a possession. He cannot be owned. He is capable of intimacy. To dance, to enjoy the world, laugh and joke, but he is not smeared by it, like a drop of water on the leaf of a water-Lily remains unsmeared. Emotions, bondage and acts are that of the mind and the body. Since he is neither the mind nor the body, he is untouched by the acts and emotions of others—jealousy, envy and hatred have not ground in the awakened soul. Because, for him there is no other than the Self. He knows the totality of a human being, in all the three states. To such a being, the only bona fide state is that which is the basis of all the three states and the three bodies. Perhaps, to have a relationship or space-share with such a being ought to be wonderful. Why? I will tell you. Because he is the Self. Perhaps, for the partner, being with him, ought to feel like being in deep sleep, which is all bliss. Pleasures and enjoyments and happiness are all of the Self, not of the ego. Eternal divine Love is beyond words—it has to be deeply felt. Yet, very few are capable to absorb such an emanation, such a vibe. A Love that cannot be divorced. A Love that cannot be owned. A Love that cannot be dragged through the courts. A Love that does not depend on financial security. A fearless and unpossessed Love. A Love that is not easily available on digital shelves. Perhaps, such is the epitome of harmonies love. Blessed are they who have co-existed with conscious Love. You will realize in hindsight and reflecting upon the bygone time, life itself is the greatest teacher. When we transition from dreaming into deep, dreamless sleep, the unconscious mind enters complete stillness.Where is the “I” in deep sleep? Where is the partner? Where is the world?
If relationship attachments and personal identities were absolute reality, they would exist in deep sleep. Yet in deep dreamless rest, the mind is silent, the body is forgotten, and emotional craving is suspended.
And what do we say upon waking? “I slept so peacefully.”
We experience our deepest peace when there is no ego, no mental projection, and no outside object to satisfy us. What remains intact in deep sleep is pure, unblemished awareness. If you are deeply peaceful without holding onto anyone or anything, then external attachment was never the true source of your fulfilment.
The Conscious Love of an Awakened Soul
This brings us to the essence of conscious love.
The awakened soul does not look to another person to become whole. He is awake to the Self—the timeless reality that remains untouched through waking, dreaming, and deep sleep. The Self is love itself.
Because his cup is already full, he seeks nothing from outside to complete him: His mind grasps at nothing; therefore, possessive demands never arise. He is fully capable of deep tenderness, joy, laughter, and intimacy, yet he remains untainted by them—just as a drop of water rests upon a lotus leaf without clinging to it.Jealousy, envy, and fear find no fertile ground in him, because he sees no separate “other”—he sees only the Self expressed in everyone.
A Love That Cannot Be Lost
To share life with an awakened presence is to experience a sanctuary of unconditional stillness.
This is a love that cannot be divorced, because it was never claimed as a possession. It cannot be traded, bartered, or governed by anxiety. It does not depend on validation, security, or worldly conditions.
It is a fearless, boundless, and liberating love. Those who discover this reality realize that life itself, in all its states, has been guiding them toward one truth: true love begins the moment the soul awakens to itself.
